Our Commitment
North-Star Care, Inc. (“NorthStar”) is committed to making its website and digital services accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is part of how we live out our belief that care should be available to everyone. We are continually working to improve the experience for all users and to apply relevant accessibility standards as we build and update our site.
What We Do
As part of our ongoing efforts, we aim to:
- Design and build pages that work with keyboard navigation and common assistive technologies, such as screen readers;
- Use clear structure, headings, and link text to make content easier to navigate;
- Provide sufficient color contrast and readable text sizing;
- Include descriptive alternative text for meaningful images where appropriate; and
- Review accessibility as part of our design and development process and address issues as we become aware of them.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project, and we treat feedback from our users as an important part of that work.
Conformance Standard
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), as our reference standard. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities. While we strive to conform to Level AA, we cannot guarantee that every page or element fully meets the standard at all times, particularly content provided by third parties or features that are still being improved.
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some content or functionality on our site may not yet be fully accessible. This can include third-party tools, embedded media, documents, or content created by outside vendors that are not entirely within our control. Where we identify a barrier that we are not yet able to resolve, we will make reasonable efforts to provide the information or service through an alternative means upon request.
Feedback & Help
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our website. If you encounter a barrier, need information in a different format, or would like help accessing any part of our site or services, please contact us. We will do our best to accommodate your request in whatever way we reasonably can, and we will use your feedback to help us improve.
When you contact us, it helps to include the web address (URL) of the page, a description of the problem you experienced, and the best way to reach you.
